Access levels available

  1. Enquiry: Individual can run reports, perform inquiries, maintain details of retailed managed investments and personal assets
  2. Limited transact: Individual has the same access as enquiry in addition to being able to enter orders (but not authorise them)
  3. Transact: Individual has the same access as limited transact in addition to being able to authorise orders.

For Macquarie products the following access levels are available:

Register a new user for Adviser Online

To register a new adviser, they’ll need to complete a Macquarie adviser registration form. You can download this form from Adviser Tools by searching for Adviser registration and then selecting the applicable registration form.

Please note that the new adviser’s dealer must be registered with us. If their dealer isn’t registered with us, you can sign them up. For more information see Register as a dealer or adviser.

To complete the form and register a new adviser you must: 

  1. Download and print the form
  2. The intended adviser will need to sign the form. We’ll also require an Authorised Representative Certificate, or a Letter of Authority (a letter from the Dealer Group with a company letterhead signed by a responsible officer or director stating the Adviser is a representative of the Dealer group) to be completed and submitted.
  3. Return the completed form to adviser@macquarie.com
  4. Provided the documents are sufficient, we’ll process and provide the newly registered adviser with their new Adviser and access codes
  5. The new adviser can use this notification to register and create a new password online.

You can also use the Macquarie adviser registration form to gain access to another adviser’s clients or a corporate adviser code. You or a new adviser can do this by completing the applicable section on the form.

Important information – Registering as a dealer or adviser

If you’re registering as a dealer or adviser to use our products and services, we generally require your AFSL to have certain licence conditions that enable you to advise and or deal in the products your clients are seeking to link the AFSL holder to. If your licence conditions change throughout the year and you become ineligible to advise deal in our products, we may stop your access to client accounts and take other actions depending on individual circumstances.

Change access level for an existing adviser

To change the level of access, you’ll need to complete a Macquarie adviser registration form. To download this form: 

  1. Go to Adviser Tools
  2. In the search field, enter Adviser registration
  3. Click the search icon
  4. Click Adviser registration (PDF) to download the form
  5. Print the form
  6. Complete and sign the form. Return the completed form to adviser@macquarie.com

Register a new support staff member for Adviser Online

As an adviser, it can be helpful to provide support staff with access to Adviser Online.

To register a new support staff member, they’ll need to complete a Macquarie support staff registration form. To download this form:

  1. Go to Adviser Tools
  2. In the search field, enter Support staff registration
  3. Click the search icon
  4. Click Support staff registration (PDF) to download the form
  5. Print the form
  6. The support staff member will need to complete and sign the form.  
  7. Any advisers will need to sign Section 3 to approve the support staff’s ability to view their clients
  8. Return the completed form to adviser@macquarie.com

Please note, if there are a lot of adviser codes to be loaded, you can attach a letter to the registration form that lists out all the adviser codes. The Director(s) of the business will need to sign this letter and include the required level of support staff authority.

Important information – Registering support staff

As you’re granting a support staff access, it’s your responsibility to:

  • consider the eligibility of the individual as to their rights to access and their level of transact access; and
  • notify Macquarie immediately of any changes to support staff so access can be altered or removed as required.

Change a support staff member’s access level

You can update the access level of your support staff member by completing the Macquarie support staff registration form. You can download this form from Adviser Tools by searching for support staff registration.

Important information – Registering support staff

As you’re changing support staff access, it’s your responsibility to:

  • consider the eligibility of the individual as to their rights to access and their level of transact access; and
  • notify Macquarie immediately of any changes to support staff so access can be altered or removed as required.

Give a support staff member Dealer level access

 
  1. To provide support staff with Dealer level access, they’ll need to complete a Macquarie dealer registration form go to Adviser Tools.
  2. In the search field, enter Dealer registration
  3. Click the search icon
  4. Click Dealer registration (PDF) to download the form
  5. Print the form
  6. The Director(s) of the dealer group will need to sign the form. Once complete please email this directly to adviser@macquarie.com

Cancel a support staff member’s access

It’s important to notify Macquarie immediately of any changes to advisers and support staff so access can be altered or removed as required. You can confirm who has access to your adviser and/or dealer codes within the My access page of Adviser Online.

Adviser or support staff has left the business

We can accept instruction to remove a staff members access (adviser or support staff) from anyone registered under the adviser’s office or dealer group. The instruction should be sent to adviser@macquarie.com, and clearly specify that all access should be removed as the staff member has left the business.

Adviser or support staff access needs to be removed from a specific adviser code

We can accept instruction to remove a staff members (adviser or support staff) access from the Macquarie ID holder or anyone registered under the adviser’s office or dealer group. The instruction should be sent to adviser@macquarie.com, and clearly specify:

  • Name of adviser/support staff who’s access needs to be updated, and
  • Adviser codes(s) access should be removed from
